keeping the faith in the cold dark night

keeping the faith in the cold dark night~
by john s

i heard voices in the cold dark night
telling me all was lost
telling me my hopes and dreams were going to fall
again
hard
again

i saw shadows in the cold dark night
they lied to me
horrible secrets that couldnt be true
again
alone
again

i tasted fear in the cold dark night
filled with torturers
pained torments would swallow me whole
again
hurting
again

the dawn rose in the sky
i uncovered my head
as it chased away things of the night
again
surely
again

till brightly it warmed my soul
stilled my heart
filled with promises of hopes and of dreams
again
yes surely
again
